Does anyone know what is included in an employment backgound check for macys?

Today I did a job interview with Macy's, and the hiring manager says she will have to conduct a backgound check a decision is made. I don't have criminal history or anything but i may have strenched the dates of may employment with a certain company by 3-4 extra months. The company is no longer in business.Do you think they will verify my dates of employment.
