  1. nice mixed bag there. I always cary teo baits with me when traveling the deep diving bomber long A that is clear with a mylar mirror inside with a black top and an orange belly. it will catch all the preditor fish. I also carry a lucky 13 and it will catch anything biting on the surface.

  2. Would need to know what you plan on fishing for.

  3. giant meal worms...i dont know....it works like a charm everywhere i go fishing lol

  4. This time of the year can be a little more unpredictable than dead summer cause it's getting kinda chilly at at night lately, which is allowing the fish to feed in the  'early fall'   water columns,  which basically means that they're finally starting to come up off the bottom.

I would suggest finding the biggest native shiners you can find, fish live bait !  It's the best time of year for it, as the fish are starting to feed more aggressively as the water cools, especially at dawn, a big ole chunky shiner stirring up that glassy water will attract the largest of residents in the lake.   Go shiners and eat till your sick !!

  5. I prefer to drift with a single hook walleye crawler/minnow harness for most fish. You will need to change the depth and spinner size depending upon the weather.

For sunny days, I use light green/yellow blades or red/white blades.  On cloudy days, I stick with silver.

You can also try casting 1/4 to 1/2 ounce jigs with a white twister tail. This works in all weather conditions. You will loose lots of tails, so bring several. For some reason little perch love the tails.

Walleye, bass, white bass will all hit spinner type lures with a minnow or crawler attached.  Pike and trout will also sometimes hit these.  Sturgeon (according to website below season opens Sept 6th with new regulations) can be caught with a large glob of crawlers on the bottom. You will catch lots of nuisance fish also like carp and suckers.

Pike and Muskie, I prefer red-eyed wigglers at least 2 inches long. These can also be caught on a large bobber with a 2-3 inch chub.

Here are two websites that may help. They will give you the most up to date fishing information and sometimes lures.
