Does anyone know what kind of cake this is?

i recently saw this cake in a show i was watching, but it was only there for a second and the name was never told, does anyone know what it's name is? hte picture is here http://img294.imageshack.us/my.php?image=96687599yk1.jpg

It's a Battenberg... reminds me of stopping off for tea in old world department stores when out shopping with my folks when I was a kid.

Yeah, it's just a normal cake that's assembled in layers. Basically you make 2 cakes, in this case one white and one pink and then you stack them on top of each other and the two cakes into rings. Then you pull the rings apart and fit them back together alternating the colors white, pink, white, pink. And then frost and cut it like a normal cake. It's a little tricky  getting them to fit together without falling apart.

The picture is of a kind of "checkerboard cake".

That one looks like alternating strawberry and vanilla layers.

To me it just looks like white cake and pink cake cut together with white icing but idk sorry
