Does anyone know what kind of drug might be in this vial?

I found a clear glass vial in my house the night day after I had thrown a party- not mine - about an inch tall and 1/4 inch across with a black top. inside there's a white powdery substance that is finer than sugar but more coarse than talc. I'd like to know what this might be considering it was found in my house. I'm concerned someone i know might be abusing drugs and leaving traces at my place.

I wouldn't suggest taking it to the police. Just dump the contents down the tiolet and flush several times. Then dispose of the container. It sounds like crack or meth to me also either way it is not something that yo should have around. I suggest getting rid of it. However taking it to the police is dumb. they will ask you questions and depending on how much there is you could get charged with intent to distribute. I know it's not yours but possesion is possesion. You have touched it so your fingerprints are all over it now. Just get rid of it.

That sounds like either crack cocaine or meth that has been ground up. Also sounds like the type of container it would be in. I would be concerned. You can also take it to the police station and they can tell you. Just tell them thr truth, you found it on your property and you were concerned. A pharmacist could tell you too.
