Does anyone know what kinds of plants are in lake ontario?

  1. One study (http://cache.search.yahoo.net/search/cac... ) lists clasping-

    leaf pondweed (Potamogeton richardsonii), com-

    mon waterweed (Elodea canadensis), coontail

    (Ceratophyllum demersum), Eurasian water milfoil

    (Myriophyllum spicatum), slender naiad (Najas

    flexilis), small pondweed (P. pusillus), variable pondweed (P. gramineus), water stargrass

    (Zosterella dubia), and wild celery (Vallisneria americana), but this was limited to two areas.  They also list a variety of fish species.

    Cornell University just completed a larger study (available online by clicking the "final report" link on this webpage:  http://ontario.cfe.cornell.edu/  It's a pdf file, and the document is over 100 pages, so it may take a while to download.  I'd imagine it would have the most comprehensive (and recent) list of plants and animals.
