Does anyone know what latin american countries are not eligible for the Diversity VISA lottery...?

  1. For the 2007 visas (the lottery was held in 2005), the following countries were ineligible: Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico.

    If you mean for those applying this year (for 2009 visas), the following countries are ineligible: BRAZIL, CANADA, CHINA (mainland-born), COLOMBIA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC,

    ECUADOR, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, HAITI, INDIA, JAMAICA, MEXICO, PAKISTAN,

    PHILIPPINES, PERU, POLAND, RUSSIA, SOUTH KOREA, UNITED KINGDOM (except

    Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and VIETNAM. Persons born in Hong Kong

    SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan are eligible.
