Does anyone know what qualifications are needed to become a special needs instructor?

I am a pupil support assistant just now i would like to become an instructor any information would be really helpful

  3. Check your area for listings for shelter workshop environments for the mentally handicapped and look for job postings that may have entry - level slots that will provide on hands experience or look out for volunteer opportunites that may lead you to that door .

  4. I work in early years-I have SENCO accreditations and an NVQ in early Years.

    Open University have a great sounding Special Educational Needs sounding course which I might look into as well-i think its a diploma! Try asking your head teacher or classroom teacher-or if you are in contct with area SENCO speak to them!

    ....to become a special educator in my state you need a bachelors degree and you need to take a praxis test.  ask the instructor you are working with, they'll know.

  6. Yes, you can get in starting as a Parapro and asst. and while going to school for your degree you can get all the expericnce you need...  My mom does the same...

    i admire what you do. im too faint hearted to work with those with special needs.

  10. If you mean driver instructor,than you don't need any qualification as far as know. Please check with DSA or DVLA websites (if living in Britain). Mainly you need to pass an Instructor Test.
