Does anyone know what qualifications that one needs to be a law professor?

  1. A law degree. Many law professors are also attorneys.


  2. A degree, probably a masters degree and a PhD in law or a related subject. You will probably have to publish some work to be considered. There are very few jobs on such a high level, so they can afford to be very picky.

    Many law professors tend to have practiced before going into academia so after law a place on a legal practice course is essential.

    Apart from that though there is not set career route! However many law professors have completed more than one degree, published article in journals or even published their own books on areas of law.
