Does anyone know what "pl" means in this contact lens prescription; R: +0.50 -1.25x090 L: pl-1.25x090?

its a scrip for toric contact lenses...

  1. It does not really look like a script for a contact lense, it could be PART of a script for one...it looks like a regular Rx for a Regular pair of glasses. Pl means Plano, the equivalent of 0.00. Usually contact lens Rx's have more info than just the powers.


  2. I totally agree w/Spectacle. This looks like a regular eyeglass Rx. "pl" does mean "plano" or 0.00 (no) power.

    With a contact lens Rx you have other "stuff" such as a base curve and such...

    Check w/your eye doc on your contact lens Rx.
