I am curious as to why the mans religion is prevalent? also I am sickened to hear that 7 of his friends were willing to lie , when he committed such as a sickening crime-I trust the MCB will immediatley condemn these people and conduct strict background tests upon people in authority.

It's not mentioned, but why should the religion of the victim enter into it?  I think the reason the man's religion is mentioned is because he's a hypocrite as well as a rapist.  If a Baptist minister or a Catholic priest did the same thing, you can bet their religions would be mentioned in news articles about them.

I would put money on it that she was not a Muslim. These men think that they have the right to rape a woman who is not Muslim. They regard non-muslim women, especially British women as whores, there for the taking.

It is against Muslim teachings for a Muslim man to have extra-marital s*x, or casual s*x with a Muslim Woman, but  NOT with a woman of any other religion. You can bet your bottom dollar this woman was NOT a Muslim!!!!!
