  1. It's rice & water, blended together, and calorie wise, it has fewer than cow's milk

    And it tastes lucious!

  2. Yes it's horrible muck

  3. milk from rice and yes

  4. I am a former chef and have used and made it myself, it is also known as "Horchata" a mexican beverage that comes in various flavours, I also have used Oat milk, Almond milk, the common Soya milk and you can ake it with Barley and Millet also.

  5.    Most of the time white rice is broken down with water and a power processess which is a very light milky liquid. It's properties are good but depends on if your body can sustain. Meaning take it slow an in moderation. Rice milk has a balm taste and a little sweet sometime a little over redoned. Like Soy milk you like it or not. But rice is easier on the stomach than soy. Product has almost no fat but lacks protein, Veg's choose to drink they weigh nothing and lack protein never meant to many Veg's that were healthy. Out of 500 I say 10 look like they could play sports the rest lack so much protein. More info than you needed.

  6. Rice milk is a kind of grain milk processed from rice. It is mostly made from brown rice and commonly unsweetened, the sweetness in most rice milk varieties is generated by a natural enzymatic process, dividing the carbohydrates into sugars, especially glucose. Some rice milk kinds may nevertheless be sweetened with sugarcane syrup or other sugars.

Compared with cow's milk, it contains more carbohydrates, but does not contain significant amounts of calcium or protein, and no cholesterol or lactose.

Commercial brands of rice milk, however, are often fortified with vitamins and minerals, including calcium, vitamin B12, vitamin B3, and iron.

While many people are allergic to dairy and soy, rice milk remains an alternative as a very low (to non) allergenic milk.

As a vegan I use a a variety of soy and rice milk in day to day cooking and eating.

Your boyfriends friend will be using it to loose weight because of its low-cholesterol properties. But he'll need more than just rice milk to help him achieve this!

  7. Yes rice milk is very common. You find it in the grocery store next to the soy milk. It tastes a bit cardboardy or bland, but you get used to it.

It is very low fat but then so is skim milk or fat free milk.

I just dont think it tastes really nice. I prefer 1% regular milk or even soy milk to rice milk.
