Does anyone know what rights a caregiver child has in the state of illinois?

looking for someone who knows about caregiver child's rights, can we get back money from paying property taxes, putting new roof on house,losing time from work, repairs to house, driveway, family insist this was FREE for living there and taking care of sickly parents
