Does anyone know what royalty costumes are called? With the epaulette, medals, hat, sash, sword, etc.?

In that picture, he is wearing a uniform. He is a commander, senior grade in the navy, a lieutenant colonel in the army, and a lieutenant colonel in the air force. I would assume that he is wearing the dress uniform of one of those services. The medals and the sash represent decorations which he has received. While he actually served in the Danish armed forces, most of his decorations are honorary.
