Does anyone know what the Maori language or ethnicity is?(non NZers)?

just wondering how much know about one of the features of New Zealand

Yes, I do. They remind me of my people (African-Americans in the U.S.) ...a little since they still preserved their native culture and we haven't. Their ethnicity falls under the Polynesian race.

There are films where they are portrayed such as the popular ones Whale Rider and Once Were Warriors. Their culture is very intriguing.

YES! I seen We once were warriors and I loved it.  I have never seen a film so in depth as that one. They did a great job on the film!  I must say they are a beautiful people.
