  1. All they do is eat twinkies and ice cream, and if they get upset they pull a stress card.... it's pretty rough from what I hear.

  2. You go through the same basic or boot camp everyone else goes through. They will call you No Go, because they all know that basic and boot camp are nothing more than beginner classes and you are not advancing beyond.

  3. The National Guard does NOT have "boot camp"

  4. The National Gaurd's purpose is to defend its nation. It's is a compent of the Army, and ran by your state. Your Govorner can call you up to aid domestic natural disasters, and go to war if your assigned unit is activited.

You will go through the same Army Basic Training that active duty, and Army Reservists attend. After BCT, and AIT school;  you'll report to your assigned local unit and drill one weekend a month, and two weeks in the summer.

  5. Same boot camp. Its one weekend a month 2 weeks a year. and you might deploy if your unit hasn't been in a while. Other then that your a normal person. Not a bad choice for someone trying to go to school or something.

  6. Army National Guard Soldiers attend the same basic and advanced training as the Active Army.  Many go on to attend Airborne, Air Assault and Ranger school among other throughout their career.  My buddy is in a NG LRSS unit in Texas that requires all NCO's to be Ranger qualified.

  7. The National Gurad goes through the same basic training as Active duty and Reserves.
