  1. I don't think there was one. I certainly saw no UN reliefe and I was right in the middle of it.

  2. went through katrina and rita, there was no u.n. aide

  3. I didn't know there was one.  What on earth could they write a resolution about and even more, who would pay attention to it?

  4. there was a resolution from the UN to help the helpless area afected .

    GREEKS send cruise ships

Uruguayans send two ships loaded with purifiers machines to make fresh water from salty water

VENEZUELA issued some kind of credit card for the most poor and needed people so they can buy gas at low prices at CITGO  and I can keep going on and on ,but sadly we do not get this kind of news in the America media because is not good for our goverment not to show you kindness from outsiders

Most of the help that was offered by different countries were turn down by our goverment

in some kind of "we not need you " reaction!!

I'm from Mississippi so I live very close the tormentor of katrina!!

  5. There was no UN resolution.

The United Nations initially mobilized three inter-agency teams to work on logistics and coordination in conjunction with United States authorities, having been informed on 3 September of the United States’ acceptance of the Organization’s offer of assistance.

A United Nations inter-agency liaison team was based in the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Hurricane Katrina Operations Centre in Arlington, Virginia.  The other teams were deployed in support of USAID/Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), at the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)’s Regional Coordination Centres in Texas and Georgia.

The inter-agency teams fielded in Texas and Georgia comprised of representatives from the World Food Programme (WFP), Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), World Health Organization (WHO), and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as well as support teams from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)/United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) network.

In order to coordinate its response, the United Nations assembled an inter-agency task force on 2 September, chaired by the OCHA, and composed of the UNICEF, WHO, WFP, UNHCR, UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

That's as much as they did I guess....  Try the UN search engine.

  6. No resolution.

People confuse resolution with aid; which did occur internationally, and not all of it through the UN.

Nevertheless; relief missions in post-catastrophy situations was high on the agenda - I do not follow the UN so closely, but I do know, somethings have changed so that aid can rapidly transfer to those in need.

I would be a disgrace for the US to have to ask for the UN for help on its own soil... I'm sure W, was against the idea!
