Does anyone know what the best banks are in Barcelona for foreigners?

I am moving here (BCN Spain) permanently although I don't have residency quite yet. I have most of my money in an account in the states and wish to wire it if and when the dollar isn't crashing so hard. Although it seems that the fees here are really high simply to maintain an account? Anyone know anything banks that may have more reasonable fees?

I opened an account very easily with Caixa Catalunya without residency, but they do charge quite high fees. I'm thinking of changing to Ing Direct, you can do everything online including opening the account (www.ingdirect.es). They say they have no charges for any of their services, and you get 5% for the first 6 months.
