We are cruising in the Bay of Biscay and would like to know if anyone knows what the sea conditions are like so we determine the level of seasickness medication to take.

  1. Wet

  2. I went in June once on a cruise and the sea was very rough for 2 days then it was lovely. If there is going to be a storm there will be a storm but it is very rare at that time of year. Thats the trouble with the weather ,very unpredictable.

Enjoy your hol anyway and take travel pills

  3. Depends a lot really, I did Bay of Biscay twice on ships, once with a VERY old ship, that was always broken, and was so smooth. The other with a big, new one and was very rough.

Try the sea sickness bracelets before taking to many pills, you can get then at the shops onboard and it does not lower your blood pressure.

You have to put on both arms, 3 fingers from the wrist line up, between the vein and the tendon. Works well for most people, most my coleagues on ships when I work onboard and had sea sickness problems used them.

  4. i have beeen through the bay in  may and september .it has been calm both times.but  i have a friend who has been through  same time of year   and it has been rough. so i would  go well  propared .

  5. The bay of biscay in may is very placid and calm

  6. Not sure about May but went early June and it wasn't too bad. Windy but not too choppy.
