Does anyone know what the day rate for a decorator in in the midlands would be please.?

For an Unskilled one, such as just a simple painter, for 8 hours work between £60-£75

For an Ok decorator that can wallpaper etc budget between £85-£100 for 8 hours

For a skilled one that will do plastering, wood panneling and any other decorating you need doing the going rate is normaly between £100-£150 for 8 hours work

- and they will expect at least half an hours break in those 8 paid hours

about £120 a day for wallpapering/lining etc but about £90 a day for painting. we had ours for 9 hours and he had an 2x half hour breaks in that time! he was good though but i forget the company name now!!!worth paying for! (i live in shropshire)
