Does anyone know what the huge circles are that can be seen from the air in the El paso area?

when flying over the el paso area over the weekend, i saw below us on the ground, huge circles. some were dark green. i later looked them up on google earth, and they can be seen from the satelitte photos. some others in the area appear to be blacked out. what are these?

I am from El Paso and have no clue unless it is illegals in disguise as some kind of crop field

michael971 is correct.  it is caused by the watering of the fields.  I am from el paso and have seen these close up and from a plane.  I like to drive by them its real nice.

Yes I have seen them too from airplanes. they are caused by watering. there is a long arm on wheels it sprays water on the ground. the water comes up from the center of the arm and it travels in a circle.
