Does anyone know what the most effective way is to kill roaches?

I have a new house and I clean very consistenly; however, I think that some are coming from the boxes that I brought in. I have tried traps, gel and nothing works.

Interesting that it is important to know what kind of roaches you have to give you a better chance at controlling them. the attached link has a roach ID chart and control methods.Note that the baits available are for California only. Some of the chemicals such as the fipronil bait are not registered for home use are  available to homeowners in other states. The best way to control pests is to educate yourself on their life style and lifecycle and this is a great place to start.

Stop feeding them.  Seal food containers and clean up crumbs.

I think something with birth control and maybe even finding the source...hope u find a solution...quick!!!  I hate bugs!!!!
