Does anyone know what the prevailing winds are in the Po Valley or Lake Garda area of North Italy?

Planing to cycle in those areas; so knowing the wind direction in the months of July and August would be Great

  1. The prevailing winds on the summer season are the following:

    On the Lake Garda area starting from early morning there is the wind called "Peler" and it goes increasing of power till abt.1pm-

    Direction is from North.

    In the afternoon till evening (but it's weaker as the Peler) is blowing the 'Ora' wind. Direction is from South.

    In the Po valley (pianura Padana) it depends on which side you are. In fact in summer there are just winds blowing from the sea and hence if you are on the west side you'll have wind from west (ligurian sea) while if you're on the east side you'll have wind from east (adriatic sea). If you are in the middle you'll have practically no wind since there will be the collision of the 2 opposite, annulling each other.
