Does anyone know what they test you on when getting a driver's license?

anyone know Im gonna be getting my soon , and just need some head's up..

Read the book they gave you carefully and take driving lessons from a reputable company. You are tested on general road knowledge (signs by shape, dui limits and penalties, railroad crossings) and by taking a driving test with a member of the licensing bureau.

they test you on you knowledge of the road. then they test you on your ability to drive on the road, along with quick decision making

Well, it's all in the book. They should give it to you, or, you can go get it and study earlier. But, where I'm from, they give you the test at the school. Hope it helps. Good Luck!

I suppose it varies from state to state, but a lot focuses on signs.  How to identify county roads, state roads, stop signs, yield signs, etc.  Other questions may involve right of way situations.  Each state's DMV should have a manual that you can study before taking the test that will prepare you.  If they don't, any local bookstore will have it.
