Does anyone know what this dream means?

Ok first of all a little background - I'm engaged to a wonderful man who I love to bits, I've never cheated on him and wouldn't even consider it, I do have body image problems (typical women heh lol) and I have a very odd living situation at the moment - I'm living with the in-laws!

Ok my dream was this - I dreamt that I had s*x with a guy that's a friend of both me and my partner, he's a nice guy but not my "type", and it was really sensual, loving, and I felt really relaxed and happy about it. It's hard to explain the feeling of bliss I felt in the dream while in the arms of this guy. We had s*x in the bathroom of where I'm currently living and then had a shower, we came out of the shower and went into the living room where my partner's sister was sitting and she took no notice of that fact that we were both obviously soaking wet, and she must of known what happened and offered me a glass of wine, as though it was normal. Then we went into the garden and the were loads of small garter snakes trying to climb over my shoes and one was attached to my hair.

Does anyone know/can anyone explain what this dream means? I very rarely have dreams so vivid and I usually don't remember my dreams but this one has stuck with me all day!

Thanks

  1. Dreams are often a message told to us by a certain part of ourselves who we aren't always in close contact with.  So, it's that part's version of what's going on.

Probably, there's a part of you that feels toward your fiancee as you feel toward your mutual friend.  So the dream represents your fiancee as the friend, because that represents the feelings of the dreaming-you.

Your fiancee's sister represents you:  because this part feels toward you the way that you feel toward her.  So, this part of you has finally taken the plunge with respect to your fiancee, and isn't sure how the rest of you is going to feel about that -- but the rest of you is fine with that, and offers the wine.

I notice that snakes show up a lot in dreams having to do with s*x:  I don't know why.  A built-in symbol, maybe.  Also, especially for women, hair represents a person's sexuality and identity.  In this case, the snakes are non-threatening.

BTW, were you raised to be religious?  There's a lot of Christian symbolism here:  s*x and the shower = baptism; wine = communion; entering the garden with your lover = Eden; little snakes (in this case non-threatening) = the serpent.  You seem to be expressing yourself in that language.

It's a good dream; it means things are going well

    Conrad.

  2. I know that it is pretty normal to have such dreams, but I'm not claiming to be able to interpret them. You can go to www.dreammoods.com and you have to enter one word at a time so like s*x, affair, cheating, and read all the meanings but it's pretty cool and if you research it right it'll tell you the meanings and what diffent things represent.

  3. Maybe your fiancee doesn't satisfy you in the bedroom. Or it could be that you are scared of getting married.

  4. It sounds like something deep and the only way you can receive a truthful understanding is to pray to GOD and ask him for his Truth, Understanding, Wisdom and Knowledge of it. Trust me, he will reveal his answer to you. There is definitely a meaning to it.

Do you know Jesus? If so, Please share him with others. If not, do you know that he died on the cross for our sins? Do you know that he wants to give you eternal life if you'll let him? Do you know how to receive eternal life from him? By acknowledging that he died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead on the third day!!! By confessing to him your sins. By confessing Jesus as your Lord and Savior and asking him for forgiveness of your sins. By asking him to come and live in your heart. By turning away from your sins and living the life he designed for you! Always read your Bible! Pray Daily! Be Blessed!

  5. To dream that you are cheating on your spouse, mate, or significant other, suggests feelings of self-guilt and self-betrayal. You may have compromised your beliefs or integrity and/or wasting your energy and time on fruitless endeavors. Alternatively, it reflects the intensity of your sexual passion and exploring areas of your sexuality. It is a reaffirmation of your commitment

And to see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent knowledge and wisdom.
