Does anyone know what this insect is called?

they are really tiny and black and long and sting/bite and it hurts really bad, they are tiny like small enough to go through a screen, any clue what they are called? 10 points to the first person that helps me find out what they are

Here in  Massachusetts we have little insects that come in through the screens called no-seeems and they bite me too
