Does anyone know what train goes to Red Hook New York (besides the Amtrak line)?

I am having many people up to my house in the country, we need a train to get them all up there but Amtrak is too expensive. Are there any other trains or busses as another option?

you could hire a limo or  charter a bus from the train station

or are you saying Amtrak stops at your house?

hope you keep the front and back door open for the trains

to go though your house

There is no other train service besides Amtrak.  The MetroNorth commuter train, which would be cheaper than Amtrak, only goes as far as Poughkeepsie.

I'm not aware of any bus line, but there might be...

If it is not on Metro North or the LIRR then Amtrack is probably the only choice.
