East African Oryx   its a subspecies of the gemsbok

It's not a kudu, they do not have stripes, I've seen many pics of antelopes but not 1 that looks like this. I was just scanning wildlife pictures and couldn't find any resembling your pic.

It looks more like a waterbuck but, then again the stripes on the underside do not match any pics I have seen of waterbucks.

It is definitely a gemsbok (Oryx gazella), also called the southern oryx. I have seen them in the wild, and eaten their meat!

Definitely an oryx. You can find out a lot about them on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oryx .

More specifically, I think it's an East African Oryx. Compare the pictures!
