dont say its what the caption is because i know its not i have one of these in my backyard so its probably native to virginia

  1. I can't see the base of the fronds that well, but if the leaflets get smaller toward the bottom of the frond (tapers at both top and bottom: http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/fern... ) I'd say you have New York fern (Thelypteris noveboracensis).
