Does anyone know what will take pot stains off of a ceramic cooktop, tried everything..?

When I bought my smooth cooktop, it got marred up from my pot bottoms and cooking..is there anything that can be done to remove these stains? I have used everything imaginable..

HELP!!

  1. You may not be able to get it back to the way it looked before, because stains will set in after a period of time. The comet has probably scratched the surface, because it is abrasive. Have you let the ceramic cleaners just sit on the surface for 30 minutes or so to let it soak?

    The only other thing I can think of is let a hot rag that has water or water and ceramic cleaner in it sit on the stains for 30-45 minutes, then take a razor blade and very CAREFULLY scrape the stains. If they don't come off fairly easily, I'm afraid you're out of luck. It is possible to stain these stoves if everything isn't cleaned off after each use. Sorry and good luck!


  2. Try Cleaning Creame.  I don't know if it works (read some reviews first), but it's made to do what you want it to do.

  3. have you tried baking soda?  This usually works for me...wet the area with water, then pour on the baking soda.  Wait 30 minutes, then, scrub and rinse.  If this doesn't work, you may want to try a commercial scouring powder, like bon ami or soft scrub.
