Does anyone know what year Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley turned down a fight with Antonio Margarito?

It was around 3 years ago that Floyd turned down 8 million dollars to fight Margarito, he also said on camera to Margaritos face that he would give him a shot but went back on his word. Im not sure when Sugar Shane turned him down though.

Shane Mosely never turned down a fight with Margarito (you can take that as fact because I HATE Shane Mosely and would never vouch for him).

Floyd? Well truthfully hes not a welterweight. He picked the welterweights he would beat and avoided the ones that could give him a major issue, being both Cotto and Margarito.

Also, please keep in mind that alot of Margaritos hype is just that, hype. For all that hes done, he hasnt fought top level competition, and when he did, he didnt fair all that well. I dont think anyone really cares why Floyd didnt fight him.

I think people are more interested in him fighting the winner of this weekends fight, whether it be Cotto or Margarito.

But he knew that was unavoidable, which was why he retired.

Floyd chicken out with Margo a few years back. publicly Margo went up to his face and challenged Floyd, Floyd did not know what to do but to accept Margo's on your face challenge, however Floyd knew Margo was too much for him, so the fight never materialized.

Sory both guy's infront of me got it wrong. Lets put it like this. PBF chose a BMW over a Kia. Baldie had the title belt and Margo didn't. Why fight Margo for less money or the same and come up with nothing? Margo is a good fighter, dont get me wrong. What top guy's has he beat besides Cintron? Come and talk to me, when Margo put a top guy on his resume. I give him Clottey for a start barley.

it was about three years ago when floyd told margo that fighting him would be pointless...no one knew margo and floyd was p4p, he was in the business of fighting name and he specifically told margo to get his name up in the boxing world so the fight would be juicy and make sense.
