Does anyone know whats making the best profit on ebay?

Because my friend and myself have decided were going to start with a small amount of money then sell things on ebay to see how much profit we can make by the end of the academic year. Then use the profit for a holiday. But the thing is I don't have a clue what goes for good money on ebay.

I am not sure, some say it will bring in money some say it dont.  I am curious to know about Ebay too, as I also with to get into online retail business too.  I am a manufacturer of gifts and wish to use online to create my own brand.  Hope when you gain enough experience you will share with me.  Should you need cheap stuff, I can supply you with some!! You should look for things that are in high demand and are getting many searches.

Below the first link is a page on eBay where you can see what products are the hottest sellers on eBay.

A good idea is to sell info products - copy the CDs yourself (then you have to buy a CD copier) and list a whole lot of eBooks and making money on sheer volume.

A good example of perfect eBay ebook business is the second link. The same guy actually sells ALL he has - hundreds of eBooks etc. for a few hundred bucks so the only thing you have to do is actually RE-BRAND the whole thing and sell it as your eBooks.

Another thing is selling niche products - memorabilia, stamps, collectibles etc. but maybe the eBook business sounds more attractive to you.

By the way - now there's a hot new market - run cars on water. It's got high demand and if you could find out a resell eBook about this subject - it would be a good seller. Have a look at the third website - it's the hottest seller on the Net!

Unless you can get rare items or have amazing contacts and can get clearance stuff from distributors, it is not all that easy to make money on eBay.  Most things sell for under wholesale.  So even if you have a distributor to get things from, you still won't make money with most items.  Your best shot is to come up with something original. Invent something or find something that you can make yourself.
