  1. It's flexible.  Most semester-based colleges in the US probably will start during the last week of August, or the day after Labor Day (Sept. 2 this year, I think??).  But if you go to a school on a trimester/quarter-based system, their fall semester could begin closer to the end of the semester.

Orientation can be whenever the school wants it to be.  I attended a large state school for my undergrad, and our freshman orientation happened sometime in mid-July.

If you have a specific college in mind, let us know, and we can help you find the date.  (although, if you're starting school there and you don't know when move-in day is...there could be a problem...)

  2. It depends on the school.  If you have a particular school in mind, go to their website and search for "academic calendar."  They usually publish these a couple years in advance so you should be able to find start dates for next year.

  3. Different colleges/universities will start on different dates.  At least here in the US, most will start on a Monday in late August.
