Does anyone know when i can get a permit? and then a license?

im just 5 months away from being 16 and iam trying to get a permit but i dont know if i can get a permit at age 15 1/2 or at 16. after my permit im trying to get a license also but im not willing to get it at age 18. i heard that some people can get there license at an earlier age than 17 years old i dont know what to do please help

you can get ur permit by the age of 15 1/2 and have ur license by the age of 16.

Just go to your local DMV and there will be alot of brochures on racks that you can pickup. You can ask for help from someone there. You can also get the booklet to read and help prep you for the written test. You might even ask a driving instructor at your school for this info.  Good Luck
