  1. lol at hiding under your desk...  If for some reason any matter it might create doesnt follow E=MC^2 or Gmm/r^2, and started sucking in everything, then hidding under your desk won't do much :P. Ya I'm interested in it too.  I personally expect that the date could change tho, since it is such a high tech facility, everything has to be perfect before they start anything or they could waste tons of money on a failure if it say, blew up the facility.  Not to mention the stuff that would be released into the atmosphere for all those French and Swiss to breathe.

  2. I don't think hiding under your desk will protect you from the experiment failures...

September the 10th will fire-up low energy tests.

October the 21st will fire-up high energy tests.

    Breaking news:

Low energy test run and insertion will be delayed for two hours, when it takes place on 10th September 2008. But its the 21st of October 2008, if want to worry about. When the acceleration meets near light speed, that's when risks could happen, the energy will cause a super-powered multi-particle-collision, leading to dangerous subatomic particles, i.e. microscopic black holes.
