Well, there are many people who believe that it will end in Dec. 2012 like the Mayans predicted.  I wonder if there will be a mass hysteria around that time and cause economic or some other disaster to happen.  Like people stop paying their bills or pull all of their money out of banks and stock markets to go on lavish vacations before dooms day.  It's only 4 years away, so I guess we will see.

well the Mayan believe in December 23rd or 24th 2012 b/c that's when their calender ends.

Some other scientist I'm not sure what his name was but he predicted in 2020

other than that we are not sure.

But it may have to do with the Global Warming Crisis or a meteoroid hitting the earth

2012 is the end of the myan calendar...kinda like december 31st for us...no help there.  2020 is when an asteroid is going to cross the earths path...very large, 10 miles across i think.  but the truth is, these things will not hurt the world.   might kill all the people, but the earth will not care, and life will go on.

well if you want to be completely fooled and give into fearmongering then just keep on believeing the one about 2012. that one has absolutely no basis of fact or even made up evidence to it. did you know that the same rumor was made up (mayan calendar and all) for the year 1998 and 2001...and from what i can see the world didnt end.

im pretty sure that the world ends in another 5 billion years when scientific evidence points towards the sun going red-dwarf and nova-ing on our behinds...but im fairly sure im not going o be around then...maybe not, im still not sure about that whole reincarnation bit.

Why do people bother about the end? Just live this life well and worth it and leave a legacy well enough for your future generations to be proud of. Isn't that more useful?

who knows. there are a number of people that predicted the world would end, last year, the year before... and so on. and look were still here. i sure to h**l hope it doesn't end in 2012... what a short life
