Does anyone know when we can see a kamakura prior to the festival in 2009?

When will the Kamakura Snow Festival be in 2009? We are interested in visiting Akita during late Jan'09 and wish to know if we can see the kamakura prior the Kamakura Snow Festival.

Kamakura has became to be very few but only special attraction for the official festival now. It is no chance to see those in daily life as it used to be during January even in snowy Tohoku territory.

Kamakura festival is legend folklore on during Feb.11 to 15 for good crop pray and magical ceremony. The operation period must be ruled as is. It is not traveler's eye catching fashion.

Some immitation Kamakura privately would be happend as child play like snowman but it is just child play.
