  1. Passports are NOT yet required for LAND travel to and from Mexico.  This requirement will begin June 1, 2009.  Now, you need a birth certificate and photo I.D. for land travel.  You must have a passport to FLY to and from Mexico.


  2. from my experience, back in june 2008, they were asking.  but it wasn't strictly enforced.  all i had to do was answer 2 questions about my citizenship and i walked right on in
