Hi There,

I'm not sure how far along you are in receiving your unemployment benefits but if Congress does not make a move to extend benefits soon, I would look into attending approved training until you are able to get on your feet again.

Approved training simply means that you would need to attend a training facility that has been approved by the EDD for a minimum of 20 hours a week. The catch is that you have to inquire about the program no later than your 16th week of receiving benefits.
