Question:

Does anyone know where Daber, Germany is?

My grandmother was born there in the early 1900's, and when I visited Germany about 20 years ago, I couldn't find in on a map, but it was probably a very small town. My friend thinks it was likely in northern Germany and its name was possibly changed at some point.

  1. To save you from confusion: Daber was a German town when your grandmother was born there, but is not anymore since 1945.

  3. I'm from Germany, and I can tell you it's not a German town. Daber, also known as Dobra is a town in Łobez County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, with 2,046 inhabitants (2004).
