I don't care where in Manhattan just as long as it's open at 8 in the morning.

  1. panera bread or atlanta bread if you have them

  2. That totally depends  on where you are in Manhattan.

    Zabars is AWESOME.

There's also MANY MANY other great places to get bread, and rolls.

But I can't really tell you where to go if I don't know where you are. If you're uptown you aren't going to go to the west village for rolls - you know.

Maybe you can try Menupages.com - search for "bread" and check out the  reviews and menus.

    Good luck!

  3. Sweet Melissa, Panera, Zabar's, Whole Foods... lots of places you just have to look!

  4. Every neighborhood in Manhattan has a bakery or coffee shop with fresh rolls, biayls, bagels and bread. You should have no trouble finding what you want.

  5. Le Pain Quotidien.  They have fresh baked bread every morning and open very early (some at 7ish, I think).  There are a bunch of locations.  Really great sandwiches too, FYI.

Google it for all the locations.

  6. Most New York bakeries are open by 8am.  If you tell us the neighborhood, someone can recommend a good bakery.  If you are near the Chelsea Market (15th Street and Ninth Avenue), Amy's Bread is great and they're open by 7:30am.
