Does anyone know where I can download a program that lets you make your own sound effects, for free?

I want to be able to make my very own sound effects without using any samples from other sound effects. I also want to put them on powerpoint and do a few other things with them too.

Well, using the record narration feature of PowerPoint, you can record you own sound to slides.

I recommend you using this free trial tool Wondershare PPT2Flash Standard, an add-in of PowerPoint, and it's free to record your voice. You don’t need switch to full screen to record the narration. The mini record narration window is at the bottom right of the window. It is very easy to record narrations.

Click PPT2Flash Standard menu -> record narration. By clicking the “Record” button, I can record the narrations in a breeze. At the same time, it lets me pause and resume the narration process easily.

If you want a free and simple program and you are on a windows machine, try the old standby sound recorder.  All you need is a mic and something to make the sound effects with.  I am assuming that the mic and sound effects tools are already available.

Look up the kind of sound effects program you like, like if theres a certain type, and then just got to http://www.isohunt.com and look for the file and download the torrent. you also need utorrent click here for that http://www.utorrent.com and the file is the full version not sample or demo or anything like that my friend uses this thing called FL studio or something like that id reccomend that but theres a ton out there

FL (Fruity Loops) studio is virtual studio and it is really complex and has many effects. but i don't think you can edit already made files. It will took your time, but it is really great. Like real studio. Demo version is free, but I think that only save is disabled, but you can export what u make in .mp3 type. The only problem is that because save is disabled, you need to finish it in one use of FL, because you can't import mp3 files. Good Luck ;)
