Does anyone know where I can find a FREE mailing list of about 200 people?

I want to send out flyers for my new business. I'm serving all 50 states. If you don't know of any free mailing lists, do you know if it's possible to go to a site like www.whitepages.com and pull addresses from there? Is that illegal to do?

The average return on a mailing is 2.5% IF it's targeted.

If you could get a targeted list that's 5 people for what you want to do.

The cost to mail first class since you won't qualify for any discounts is $84. This is the postage only. This does not include the cost for printing the piece.

With an untargeted list, the only type you would generate by farming the white pages, you would be lucky to get 1 person to respond. You'd have better chance standing on a busy street corner with a big sign offering $1 to anyone that would talk to you.

If you want direct mail results you need to think in 1000 piece mailings at a time to even have a chance for results.
