Does anyone know where I can find a chess set with a round board for 6-8 players?

I saw one when I was in the 4th or 5th grade. I remember that it was mulicolored. My sister loved it and I was hoping to find one for her birthday.

Hmm... I've not seen one that is round and supports 6-8 players, but I did compile a list of chess variants (including several round-board variants) on BoardGameGeek.  I don't know if you will find exactly what you are looking for there, but it is a start.

Additionally, there is a website dedicated to chess variants called ChessVariants.org.  They may have some further information. ... but it seems at present that their database is offline (I'm not a frequent visitor there, so I do not know if this is a temporary or persisting occurrence).

I think you may have meant Chinese Checkers. It is usually a round board for six players. Check out this site for more info to see if that is what you were thinking of.
