Question:

Does anyone know where I can find crossing signal gift items?

I have searched countless times here online and all I find is items for model railroading, actual old signals that would not fit in my yard, and toys for kids. Know where I can find novelty items based on crossing signals? e.g. clocks, lamps, telephones, pictures etc.

  1. Have you tried Schrader's railroad gifts?  While some of their stuff is a bit pricey they do have a lot of interesting gifts.

  2. You may want to try the Canadian Pacific Rail (CP Rail) website as they have an online store.  I'm not sure if the Canadian National (CN Rail) and the passenger service line of VIA Rail may help too.

  3. I would search e-bay, lots of old stuff turn up there almost every day, I have bough some cool memorabilia there.

Be persistent, enter the name of specific RR's, and try RR items for search criteria.

  4. Yes, my wife bought one for me thru a catalog, it's a bank, actually, with a long clear tube, and flashing lights via AC Electric cord, and a battery powered sound with button. Stands about 5 feet high. I can't remember what catalog, but it was a novelty item, and I find no name on the item itself. try catalogs What On Earth, Signals, Wireless. Could be one of those. Made in China, of course. Good luck!
