  1. I wish I would have known a week ago. I just gave mine away- never used. I had my baby girl in June & wanted to breastfeed but couldnt because of medical reasons. I got a cheaper one for $60 at CVS (it was Evenflo).

  2. WIC will give you one, depending on what state you are in. You might just call your local office and ask. But I know our state does.

  3. WIC or LLL will have answers.  Right on Vegas, super-cool of you.

  4. Some insurances will pay for one with a doctors prescription.  Some hospitals give them out a need basis.  Or you could request one for your baby shower.   Good luck and congrats!

  5. I have one that i can mail to you.  I only used it for 2 weeks, all you would have to do is sanitize it.

  6. I don't know why the second answer got thumbs-down; you do _not_ need a pump to breastfeed. If you aren't going back to school before baby is 6mo old there is no need to ever mess with bottles and pumps.

  7. Well for one, WIC office, Missouri ones at least, charge $50 deposit and then you have to buy the $30 tube system. When you turn it in you get your $50 back.

For two, don't let ANYONE tell you that just because you are breastfeeding, you aren't going to need a pump. They are always good to have, especially if you have to go shopping or to a family gathering and don't want to have to excuse yourself every few hours to feed the baby. With a pump you can feed the baby without everyone staring at you and wondering what you are thinking feeding your baby even if you are covered.

Another thing, don't get one off e-bay. even if you sterilize it there are still risks. You aren't going to want a used one anyways... its not hygenic

  8. We didn't qualify for WIC so we just rented one from the hospital for $10 a week and they gave me the tubes.

  9. WIC will help.

  10. Try online auctions for cheap one, If you advertise you might get one for free

  11. try your local WIC office.

  12. It's not a necessity to breastfeed, however I did use one. I got one for free from the hospital when I had my baby. You could try your local WIC office, or calling your hospital to check.

  13. Well if you would like to breastfeed your baby than you dont need a breast pump, its only if you plan on leaving your baby. And no I dont know anywhere who would give it to you for free, ebay will have cheap used ones but not free
