I had a resource but they can no longer get the bags. They were very sturdy back backs and I paid $5 US dollars for them. HELP I need them by August 23rd. I will also give away school supplies and free haircuts and styles through our organization PDYF (see pdyfinc.com).

  1. I agree with the previous poster that local stores are often very supportive of programs like yours.  I'd check Target, Wal-Mart, KMart + the drug stores.  I make bags out of recycled jeans for my program, The Shoebox Project <www.shoeboxproject.org.googlepages.com>... & I've posted pics in the Photo Gallery on our site.  Good luck!

  2. The local Walgreens has back packs in yesterday's ad for $5.  Target had them for $10.  We'll check out PDYF. /

  3. http://www.bagrepublic.com/wholesale/ind...  has 2 listed in your price range

for more possible sources check http://www.altavista.com/web/results?ita...

We do some similar things ( http://caringhandsministries.com) and have found that WallMart here is very receptive to requests for donations or discounts for nonprofit giveaways.  We have also found that we get donations of back packs and school supplies as well as back to school clothes from the community.
