Does anyone know where I can get normal 2008 £5 coins from?

I am looking for some £5 coins for my dad, he tends to give them as gifts for kids/births etc but cant find any anywhere can you help?? The royal mint haven't got any except for presentation packs which he doesn't want.

In our local post office (while it lasts), the postmaster tends to retain any special cin that comes in for collectors (e.g. if one is tendered he does not give it out as change unless someone requests one).  I donlt know if this is a common habit in post offices but it may be worth asking around.
