none of these sites are particularly user friendly, but you'll get property sales data on:

rightmove

housepricecrash

housemouse

land registry

All sales, whether through an agent or done privately, have to be registered with the Land Registry. Their website provides figures, but they are also available on other property portals.

However, you usually have to search by postcode or area, so I don't know if you can broaden the search to make it national.
