I took some clothes to my local Goodwill and they re-sold some of them at prices higher than I actually paid!!

Does anyone know where I can give them away?

Also, if you tell me places, how can I find these places (like what would I look under in the phonebook??)

  1. We have some great organizations where I live. One is a place where homeless women can go for the day, to get resources, nice clothes for interviews, lunch, etc. It is affiliated with a church, so you might start there, women's shelters, that sort of thing.

  2. yes, look for women's shelters in the phone book and ask if you could drop them off, or if there is a homeless shelter and outreach  in your city, try there. However, don't go throwing your garbage at them, they don't need unusable clothing either.

  3. women's shelters and churches. goodwill sells the clothes to help fund training programs for disabled people.

  4. if only u r near there are a lot of people in jerusalem who can use them.

  5. at your dump theres probably things that you can put your old clothes in that will go to the salvation army and kids and such.

  6. Find the nearest Seventh Day Adventist church: they will probably have a community service program. As how to find one, I'm not sure. Probably look in the phone number under churches, or look for SDA  or Seventh.

  7. Contact a local charity that does direct charity work. Some charities for homeless teens really need clothes.

  8. Golden Age Centers...public ones for sure.  Sanitariums for TB...   Churches....I got a few new coats for boys from a friend and I called a my church and they new a family who needed them....  There is always fire victims that loose everything....Huge families that really could use a few pairs of jeans and sweatshirts etc.
