Does anyone know where I can go in Long Beach to Kayak?

I would like to find a RENTAL place where I can get first time training as well as equipment in Long Beach or any place in Los Angeles.

You must be new to the area.

Marine Stadium in Long Beach was built for the 1932 Olympics. It's still used as a training spot for Olympians and is a popular location to watch Dragon Boat races or Polynesian outrigger canoe races. You can practice kayaking there or in Alamitos Bay, and Naples. Kayaks on the Water on Ocean Blvd is a good place to rent kayaks in LB.

Sunset Kayak Rentals on PCH in Sunset Beach is a great place to rent and practice kayaking. You stay in Huntington Harbor and have a great view while paddling around.

Added: The Aquarium of the Pacific in LBC is also having a discover nature/basic kayaking class. It's $58 per person which is more expensive if you just go to the other places I recommended.

"This trip will include instruction on basic kayaking and a naturalist- guided expedition to learn about the plants, geologic features, archaeological sites, marine biology and the fascinating history of the Bay. Both double and single kayaks are available in this off-site class. Nature by kayak is designed to be an introductory bird watching and wildlife observation class.  Participants will take part in a kayak excursion while viewing birds and wildlife in their natural habitat. Participants should be prepared for a two-hour low intensity paddle throughout the Bay’s Wildlife Preserve.  Before the trip participants will be sent a confirmation letter that will include and map to the location and a liability waiver.
